What to Expect at Del Arroyo

Our intake process starts with getting to know you. We want to understand what led you to seek treatment, so we can tailor a recovery plan that meets your needs and goals.
Most people enter residential treatment after our detox program, which gently clears the body of drugs and alcohol, so you can focus on getting well. We know detox can be scary, and our team will do everything possible to help minimize withdrawal symptoms and keep you comfortable.
Once you have completed detox (if needed), the real healing can begin. Our team of counselors and individual therapists will work with you one-on-one, in group settings, and in optional family counseling sessions. Our goal is to empower you with the tools and skills you need to avoid relapse and achieve long-term sobriety.
We offer both young adult programs and programs for older adults. We will create a personalized treatment plan for you.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Many clients move into our partial hospitalization program (PHP) after detox or residential (inpatient) treatment.
Also known as day treatment, partial hospitalization programs offer a high level of care in a structured environment. The primary difference between partial hospitalization and residential treatment is that you’re able to return home each night after treatment in a PHP.
Clients in our partial hospitalization program meet for approximately 4-6 hours a day, at least 5 days a week.
Some clients move straight into a PHP after detox. Others need day treatment after completing a residential program. Our team will work with you to determine which treatment approach is best, based on your needs, goals, and substance abuse history.
